With March Madness around the corner, the women’s basketball regular season schedule has some must-see games fans should not miss. These games are sure to shake up our NCAA Women’s Basketball Power Rankings and of course, offer a ton of exciting action.
While most games are between schools in Power Five conferences, the West Coast Conference (WCC) has a few programs worthy of attention. Gonzaga continues its legacy as one of the best mid-major teams of all time, and BYU commands respect as well. This season, Portland is also making waves in the WCC as the Pilots are second in the conference rankings, ahead of San Diego and BYU, and trailing the Zags.
After conference tournaments end in mid-March, ESPN will air the NCAA Tournament Selection Show on Sunday, March 12 at 8 p.m. ET. Play begins March 15 with the first two games of the First Four round. Following those play-in matches, the tournament’s first round takes place at host school sites on March 17 and 18.
After the regional games, followed by the Sweet 16 and the Elite 8, the Final Four games will be played on Friday, March 31 in Dallas and televised on ESPN. The national championship game is Sunday, April 2 at 3 p.m. ET and televised on ABC.
